With the winter weather upon us, frozen pipes are a very real danger. NEVER use a torch to thaw a frozen pipe because of the danger of starting a fire. Call a licensed plumber for professional assistance.
If traveling for the holidays, be sure to shut the water off to the house and drain the hot and cold water lines down to the lowest faucet in the house, preferably the basement.
